Major bugs - game crashing repeatedly

I was having a blast with this great classic... Until I got my second party member. Now I cant talk to shopkeepers or inns without crashing. Literally unplayable until they fix it. How they can release a game that doesnt work is beyond my understanding. Did they even bother to test it before release?
