DRAGON QUEST II App Reviews

I recently started on the DQ series and just cleared this second title last night. DQ1 felt like a fun, retro RPG but in DQ2 I teared up a bit listening to the ending :p This is a super improvement on DQ1 on many levels - several fun quests to complete and you can take your time exploring the expanded world and richer settings. The 3-member team play made the story and characters far more engaging, and when you finish you really feel like youve overcome obstacles, shared adventures, and saved the world with two best friends. It is amazing that this old game with pixelated graphics can still give much joy to players :) Looking forward to playing DQ3 soon!

There are no sounds and music in Final Fantasy I and Final Fantasy II on iOS 8.1.1 DQ1 and DQ2 just awesome! Waiting for third part in Erdrich story)

Cannot shop or spend a night at the inn. The game crashes after every attempt to talk to the inn npc. Dont buy game until its fixed....

Great game, apparantly a lot of ppl seem to be having trouble but it runs smooth and perfectly for me. No crashes whatsoever. I enjoyed every bit from start to finish.

I understand that square cannot release an update for every little issue but this game is non functional on iOS 8 and weeks later.....Still no update. Thanks square

Game can be considered unplayable due to game crashing 100% upon talking to shop keepers. The fact that its still not fixed a month after release is laughable.

I was looking forward to this game after the release of DQ1, but it is unplayable. It crashes every time you try and use an inn or shop. Been this way since release. Seems like a game I would enjoy if it was playable.

This was one of my favorites as a kid. It is still really fun to play.

I grew up on the NES "Dragon Warrior" games, so when I found out they were available on iOS I jumped at the chance to own them again. The problem is, like most releases early on, this is very buggy. Some have reported sound issues (havent had those myself yet). But I get frequent crashes when I go into a town to use the inn. Or shop. Only fix right now is to go to the king, save, and restart in town to access the inn and shop. This is a great game series and will be much better when the bugs are squashed. Wait a bit before you download this.

But this game crashes at all shops and inns, so you really cant progress very far past the first town. If that were fixed Id gladly rate it higher, but as it is right now, its not really playable. iCloud support for this and all Square-Enix games would be great too, but Im not holding that against them.

Im disappointed that I cant even talk to shopkeepers or innkeepers without my game constantly crashing. The support suggestions from SquareEnix support dont work either. They havent even put out an update for this yet. Come on SE, fix this.

Great game, was working great till a week ago, now when I talk to a inn keeper or shop keeper it crashes. Hope they fix it soon!

This game would be 5 stars... If it werent for the relentless crashing. Try grinding for 2 hours and go to town and have it crash. You just lost 2 hours...I cant even bring myself to play anymore....

I loved this game, up until it started crashing every time I tried to talk to a merchant or innkeeper. That makes the game fundamentally unplayable ... Fix the bugs, please! I really want to continue playing this game.

I have the same problem on my iPhone 6 plus that every time I talk to a shop or innkeeper the game keeps crashing. Loved DW since the beginning and would love to see this version work

Game is unplayable and has been for a month. Constantly crashes when I talk to shopkeeper. I have waited for some update to attempt to fix all the crashing but nothing. Not even an attempt. Avoid unless you dont intend to actually play it.

Game crashes whenever I go to any shop or inn. My guy currently has 7 hp and I cant rest up, lol

This is a fun RPG. It offers more than the first game and it has one of the best over world theme songs in the franchise. Recommended!

DRAGON QUEST II is an addictive and fun game but I like the first one best. I got so far! I have all DRAGON QUEST except for DRAGON QUEST VIII (8). So what I am technically saying is that if I give a 2-4 Star review it is ok. And one more thing..... Since I got DRAGON QUEST IV, I cant realize why it is 15 dollars and maybe I will buy DRAGON QUEST VIII for 20 dollars in 2015 and I cant wait until DRAGON QUEST III comes out! And that is all!

Some really great music and a terrific port of the original - now that the early bugs seem to have been squashed - highly recommended!!
